Election Day Voting Hours

7:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m. local time. A voter in line by 8:00 p.m. may vote.

Absentee / mail-ballot

No excuse required. Apply online, by mail, or through the city/township clerk; voters may join the permanent mail ballot list. Online or mailed applications must reach the clerk by 5:00 p.m. Oct. 30, 2026. Apply in person at the clerk’s office through 4:00 p.m. Nov. 2. Voted ballots are due by 8:00 p.m. Election Day.

Early Voting

ID requirements

Photo ID is requested, but a registered voter who does not have it may sign an affidavit and vote a regular ballot. Accepted photo IDs include Michigan/other-state ID, government ID, passport, military, student, tribal, local ID, or concealed pistol license.
